Welcome to the Harley-Davidson™ Riding Academy
Whether you're a two-wheeled novice or a seasoned road veteran, we can help you take the ride of your life. Yes. You can ride a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle. You can learn the skills. Build the confidence, and discover the feeling that all riders know but can't really put into words. The road is wide open.
A Harley-Davidson® Motorcycle is much more than a machine. It's the places you go. It's the things you see. It's the people you meet. It's a journey. It's an Adventure. It's the timeless, ageless appeal of freedom. -Willie G. Davidson
Combining the time-tested curriculum of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation® with the passion of Harley-Davidson, the Harley-Davidson™ Riding Academy offers hands-on instruction and real-road experience that can teach you the skills you need to get the most out of riding.
Motorcycle Safety Foundation® (MSF) Curriculum
The Harley-Davidson™ Riding Academy New Rider Course is built on the proven curriculum of the MSF's Basic RiderCourse™ with additonal elements provided by Harley-Davidson®. You begin learning how to start the motorcycle. By the end of it all, you're confidently handling a real Harley-Davidson® Motorcycle.
Motorcycle Safety Foundation® RiderCoach™
Our coaches are certified by the MSF. They've also been specifically trained by the Harley-Davidson® Motor Company to deliver our unique, interactive New Rider Course. You learn the best when you learn from the best.

Cathy - RiderCoach™
Get ready to ride. You learn the basics in the classroom. But you spend most of the time practicing on the controlled range, developing the basic maneuvers and skills that make you ready for the road. It doesn't feel like school. It feels like freedom.
Getting Your License
When you complete the course and / or pass the written test, you'll receive an MSF completion card. With this card, your state may waive the riding test needed to obtain a motorcycle endorsement, and some insurance companies may offer discounts.
To take the course, you will need:
• To know how to ride a bicycle
• Valid automobile drivers license and a motorcycle learners permit
• Jeans, sturdy over-the-ankle boots or shoes, full-fingered motorcycle gloves, a heavy long-sleeved shirt or jacket and protective eyewear
